My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max and Sadie are a 7-year-old bonded pair full of love and joy. They are lab mixes, and you can easily tell them apart by Sadie's white toes and the white on her face! They share a special bond, always looking out for each other, finding comfort in each other's company. They're super friendly and sweet, always ready to give kisses and wag their tails at anyone who walks by! They're as playful as puppies, always ready for a game of fetch or a game of tug-of-war. Max and Sadie would prefer a home with no young children due to their larger size and would prefer to be the only pets in the home. Their senior status isn't slowing them down, and they're ready for an adventurous life with you!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.

We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons, including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen, but all of our animals are looking for permanent, loving forever homes.
