My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎷😎🎤

The power of love is a curious thing

Make one man weep, make another man sing

Change a hawk to a little white dove

More than a feeling, that’s the power of love!

Have you been fortunate enough to love a dog with your whole heart? If so, you know how much a dog’s love can enhance your life. We introduce to you, Huey, a 5-year-old Boxer/ Staffordshire terrier mix who is a big-headed lover boy! This muscular guy is friendly with everyone and just wants to be given hugs, kisses and pets. Huey gets along well with other dogs and kids. He is house trained and crate trained and knows the command, “sit”.

Huey is always SO happy! He will sit with his ears back and a smile on his face while his tail goes, “thump, thump”! Huey spent the first part of his life living outside on a chain, but you would never know that by his sweet personality and loving nature. He is looking for someone who he can love with his whole heart. If you have a family, he has enough love to go around for everyone!

Huey can be a little bouncy when he greets people, so smaller children will need to be supervised around him.

Huey is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Huey is looking for a loving family and he knows he has plenty of love to give in return. Please apply to meet Huey at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
