Marilyn is a stunner, and she has put in ALL the work to become as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She’s estimated to be 6 years-old and spayed.

This beauty does not act her age. She’s energetic (but loves to cuddle). And she likes her toys – especially squeaky ones.

She has worked HARD to learn canine social skills. She has been thriving in daycare, but all dog interactions need to be closely monitored. We will be very particular about a home with another dog and would prefer a no dog home so Marilyn could be the star of the show.

Marilyn is not a fan of the felines. She needs a home with no cats – NO exceptions.

She has some skills to tout as well: she’s great on leash, knows come, site, down, place, and loose leash walking. She’s been working on building up her confidence meeting strangers and is doing well. She has worked HARD, VERY HARD, to master these skills. She will require a home that continues working with her – continued training will be IMPERATIVE to her success.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity.
