My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sheldon is an adorable male white with tabby kitten, who came into rescue with 4 siblings, all named after characters from the Big Bang Theory.  The litter was rescued from under a garden shed.  They were born in the spring of 2023.  Like his namesake, Sheldon Cooper, he is a bit reserved around people, especially strangers.  Once he is comfortable, he becomes a pillow that wants a squeeze.  He likes to play, cuddle, be pet--all the normal cat things.  Because Sheldon will likely be quite nervous moving to a new home, it would be ideal for him to go to a family who has experience with cats or who is willing to be patient with him while he learns to be comfortable in his new surroundings.  He is great with other cats and would love to go home with one of his siblings.

Sheldon will only be adopted as an indoor family pet.  He has been neutered, tested negative for fe-leuk/FIV, has been dewormed and is up to date on all his age-appropriate kitten shots.  For more information on Sheldon or to adopt him, please text any questions to his foster mom Jackie at 320-761-0256, or you can apply at https://bit.l/HSSCJackiesapp.  Sheldon's adoption fee is $75 plus tax ($80.16) but if he is adopted with another kitten the fee is reduced to $50 per kitten ($106.88).

Additional adoption info

We spay/neuter all of our adult pets before adoption. Adoption fees begin at $95 for dogs, but vary depending upon the desirability of the dog, purebreds, etc. Each foster home interviews and decides upon the adoptive families for the pet.

Go meet their pets

Each foster home's contact number and name is listed on Petfinder for their respective foster pet. When calls come in, the foster family arranges for a visit.

More about this rescue

We simply have a cell phone, 4 or 5 foster homes and up to this point advertise on Petfinder. Swift County has no other means to help the animal population in need. Many people in rural areas simply don't care much about animal welfare, so a few of us have to!
