My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Asiago and Gouda – From Broken Down to Beautiful!!

These two Siamese kittens have come such a long way!

Asiago and Gouda originally came to PPCR from a local shelter where they had been residing for more than a month. At only 9 weeks old, they were very sick with severe upper respiratory infections and horrible ringworm covered most of their tiny bodies.

Coming into their new foster home, they were much better physically, but emotionally, they were closed off and shut down. They would not let their foster mom even touch them for several weeks and they would just hide in the corner of their room for most of the day. They were untrusting and skittish to say the least.

Fast forward several months…with time and LOTS of TLC, Asiago and Gouda have done a complete 180! They are now confident, curious, loving kittens who absolutely adore attention! Asiago loves to be held and carried around, and Gouda is the best fly catcher on four paws! Their bond is undeniable as they can be found snuggling and playing together at all times.

Now, they both follow around their foster mom like little puppies and insist on sitting on the counter-top in the bathroom to watch her while she puts on her make-up in the mornings before work. At dinner time, she just has to clink their food bowls together and they come running from anywhere in the house. They are also the best helpers when she is working from home as they will retrieve any crumpled up post-it notes from the garbage can and bring them back to her immediately!

They have also become best friends with the resident dog, so they would do great in a home with a friendly, well-behaved dog.

Is yours the purr-fect home for Asiago and Gouda??

Gouda is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Gouda (and Asiago) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Brennda at brennda_corrie@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Brennda please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
