My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sydney (Milan)

These sweeties are my little "Ebony and Ivory" kittens. And the old saying opposites attract, couldn't be more true than with these two! Sydney is a pretty mellow girl who is content to nap lazily all day and cuddle with her person at night. While Millan is a hilarious little spaz who will play fetch with you for hours on end and is constantly on high alert in case you decide to throw his favorite mouse or stuffed leaf. I'm pretty sure he was a retriever in a former life.

The best thing about these two is how much they love each other. Sydney is always trying to act like the big sister and will constantly grab Milan with her two paws and lick his face until he's completely wet or until he wiggles his way loose. Milan spends a big part of his day trying to tease his sister into playing with him, but mostly she just looks at him with the "can't you see I'm trying to nap" look! These two are so adorable together!

Shortly after Sydney and her siblings came into rescue, Sydney had a freak accident and needed to be taken to the veterinary hospital. There, her doctor discovered that this sweet little fluff had in fact, broken her leg. She immediately underwent surgery the next day and three pins were placed in her leg to hold the bone together. Now after eight weeks of physical therapy, crate rest and restricted activity, she has finally received a clean bill of health! Syd has been so excited to resume normal activity which has mostly consisted of playing with her brother! When she first came home from surgery, little Milan would constantly lay by her side as if knowing she needed comfort and support.

In the evenings, they love to sit side by side looking out the bedroom window, chattering at the birds who dare to sit on the back fence. These two are so adorable together!

Sydney and Milan get along great with their current foster dog and would do great in a home with a cat-friendly dog. They would also do well with middle-school to older children in the home.

Sydney is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Sydney (and Milan) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Brennda at brennda_corrie@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Brennda please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!

More about this rescue

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, socialization, and rehoming of purebred and other exceptional cats and kittens into permanent homes. We are further dedicated to educating the public on the proper care of specific purebred breeds and the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control the animal population. We carefully match cats with their forever families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs.
