My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone's favorite 7-year-old man, Smokey is a chill, lumbering domestic shorthair male. He values his alone time, but he also enjoys being in the company of humans (just not other cats!) He'll let you know when he wants to be left alone, so don't be surprised if he gets a bit nippy — but a cat savvy adopter will know to read his body language, as he's very clear in his intentions! Despite being FIV+, Smokey doesn’t let any of life’s troubles get in his way.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Fees vary with special adoption events, but our standard adoption fee for an individual adult cat, between the ages of 6 months to 7 years, is $75. An adoption interest form/application and contract must be filled out by all adopters.
No adoptions are approved without visiting the shelter in person. Interest or application for adoption is not a guarantee. Volunteers attempt to match cats with an appropriate home setting/family, and adoptions are not first come, first serve.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, almost all of our adoptable animals are in foster homes. In most cases it is not possible to visit cats in the shelter.
