My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

PLEASE VIEW THIS AWESOME BOY'S CUTE VIDEO AT THE LINK BELOW.  SO CUTE!

On 6-17-2025 Mopar donated his blood to save 3 dying pups, now known as Mopar's pups. Throughout the process, he was so sweet and compliant with everyone at the vet's office.  He is truly a hero and so much deserves to finally have his own forever home.

Hey, How's it going? My name is Mopar and I enjoy Yappy Hours and puppicinos!

Obviously, as you can see I am quite handsome.   But I am also strong with a great build just like the car I am named after. But I am not all brawn, I am also very smart and sweet. I know tons of commands that my friends at training camp taught me.  I need someone to continue working with me on the many commands I know.

Yes, I am a bit older, but I still have tons of energy!  I love long walks, so if you jog or hike we will definitely get along. I also like relaxing, belly rubs and snuggles. Because I am strong, I need someone able to handle me and redirect me on walks because if I see a bicycle I get a bit upset.  Just don't like those things!

My trainer recommends I go to a home with just one owner, adult only home because I can become protective of my home.

About Training Camp:
Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the  Greyhound Advancement Center  which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.

Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. (Don’t worry, the dogs are treated very well and are the apple of their trainer’s eye ).

Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family.

We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!

More about this rescue

We are a private, non-profit rescue located in Sanford, Florida, dedicated to the rescue cats and dogs. Many of them come to us with medical needs. They are doctored to the best of our ability and resources.

Our most urgent goal is to rescue animals that are abandoned or in distress, update their vaccines, and find good new homes for them. But we attempt to be more proactive than that. It is our heartfelt desire to prevent any animal from the need to be "rescued." With that vision in mind, we take a three-prong approach through the education of pet owners and the general public about:
- proper care of animals, including correct diet of good quality food, fresh clean water, daily exercise, and lots of love
- spaying and neutering companion animals (dogs and cats) in order to prevent euthanasia and over-population
- low-cost spay/neuter clinics and wellness centers in their local community
