My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Harley. I've been waiting for a new home since I was transferred to the Ranch from another shelter back in 2023. I haven't given up hope, and my big ears are trying to listen out for my new person. I'm a very loving affectionate girl who can get adorably spunky and playful when I'm with my people, but I am a little wary of strangers and need a little space while I'm warming up to new friends. Please tell children to wave hello from a respectful distance rather than ask me to play. I've had lots of love at the Ranch, but I don't think I got to make many friends in my puppy years, so I'll need to practice. Better late than never, as they say! The Ranch staff aren't entirely sure of what I've been through in my past, but I have shown a resilient and loving spirit through it all. I may want a bit of extra training to help me learn how to share and to understand that everyone who meets me just wants to be my friend, but I can certainly impress you with some skills I already know. I can Sit, and I'm very clean in my kennel! Isn't that great? And I'm ready to learn so much more at your side. I know I can do it, and I've been waiting so long for someone to see me for who I really am inside. I'm just a genuine, loving girl who wants to be gently cared for and understood.
