Lexi is a fear dog. That means she needs someone who can be patient with her & let her come around in her own time. She is not a cuddle dog and it can take months before she trusts enough to let you pet her. She does respond faster to taking treats out of your hand.
She is good with big and small dogs alike. She is doggy door trained. She is not good on a leash yet.
Lexi needs an adult home with a lot of kindness and patience knowing it can take a very long time for her to be a "normal" dog if at all.

We are foster based, but hold adoption events in various Pet Stores in the Greater Phoenix Area.
We can also do individual meet and greet for any of our dogs with an appointment with the foster.

Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation. When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".
Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.
Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.
In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
