Meet Opie! He is a sweet boy with freckles like the original Opie Taylor from The Andy Griffith Show! He is approximately 4 years old and has a gentle temperament.
Opie likes other dogs, and loves people. He would like nothing better than to live within a foot or two of you!
Opie has a healthy appetite, and has the funny habit of picking up his bowl and moving it, sometimes spilling it. Not to worry, he’ll clean up after himself.
Opie will be happy as an only dog or as one of several. He gets along with all the dogs in his foster home, including the little ones. He hasn’t been tested with house cats, but since he doesn’t often join in the squirrel chasing, we think he would be fine with little felines.
Opie doesn’t get up on furniture, and we’re working on curtailing his counter surfing tendencies. He’s working on his car riding skills, and he might need a little helpful booty boost to get in.
You will absolutely fall in love when you meet sweet Opie!
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
