My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lux, a young cat with a heart full of joy. He's a bundle of sweetness, always ready to share his love with everyone around him. His playful nature is infectious, making even the gloomiest days brighter. He's also mellow, finding contentment in the simplest things, like a soft blanket or an ear rub session. Lux's endearing personality makes him a delightful companion. His capacity to bring happiness and tranquility into any home is unparalleled. If you're looking for a pet that will fill your life with laughter, love, and peaceful moments, Lux is the perfect choice. He's waiting for a family to share his love with. Adopt Lux, and let his sweet, playful spirit light up your life.

More about this shelter

Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue, operating the Lucedale Animal Shelter in Lucedale, MS. We travel up to the north monthly with all of our adopted pets.
Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
