My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Malachi, a young resident of our rescue. This sweet boy is a bundle of joy who will brighten up any home with his playful antics. Despite his youthful energy, Malachi has a mellow side that makes him the perfect companion for quiet evenings. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he'll be your best friend for life. Malachi's blend of playfulness and tranquility make him a unique addition to any family. His shy nature makes him a perfect fit for those who appreciate the quiet companionship of a loyal friend. Consider adopting Malachi, and experience the joy of a friendship that only a pet like him can offer.

More about this shelter

Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue, operating the Lucedale Animal Shelter in Lucedale, MS. We travel up to the north monthly with all of our adopted pets.
Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
