My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gretel, a youthful spirit full of curiosity and playfulness. Once a shy kitten, Gretel has blossomed into a friendly feline who enjoys the company of humans and other kitties alike. Her inquisitive nature makes her a delight to be around, as she loves exploring her surroundings and engaging in fun activities. Gretel is ready to share her love and playful spirit with a family that will provide her with a forever home. Adopt Gretel and let her fill your life with joy, laughter, and love. Gretel is negative for the triple snap test, up to date on all of her vaccinations and parasite control and has already been spayed.

More about this shelter

Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue, operating the Lucedale Animal Shelter in Lucedale, MS. We travel up to the north monthly with all of our adopted pets.
Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
