Say hey to Yuko! Yuko came to us after being found as a stray all alone when she was around 3 months old. We believe she was born in May of 2022 and would do best in a home with another feline friend, and with a family that understands she may get nervous from time to time. Yuko is a very sweet gal that loves to play with friends and get attention, but she can also be easily startled from time to time. She may get nervous enough to hide for a while, but will come back out when she sees friends playing. Once playtime is over she likes to cuddle up with a friend and take a nap or be petted / snuggled a bit.
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
