My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maggs! Maggs came to us after being found as a stray. We believe Maggs was born in August of 2022, and would do best in a calm home with older children. Maggs is a quiet gal, that is a very gentle soul. More often than not, you will find he snuggled up in a cozy bed alone or with a friend or two. She does well with other cats, and likes being petted and talked to. She is nervous of loud noises / fast movements, but improves each day. Maggs is looking forward to finding her forever home with a cozy bed to call her very own!

All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org

When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.

Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.

If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.

If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.
