Say hey to Daric! Daric came to us after being found as a stray that was never claimed. We believe he was born in July of 2021. Since Daric came to us as a stray, we can not be sure who or what he has experience with, but we believe he would do well with most ages, and perhaps another dog his size that is female. We are not sure how he would do with a cat in his new home. Daric is a very sweet boy that loves attention, and being around people. He is a very food motivated, and knows how to sit, but he isn't sure what toys are quite yet. Daric may need a small refresher course on potty training when learning a new home and routine, but he does pretty well keeping a clean kennel here at the shelter. He is looking forward to finding his forever family!
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
