Katie is one of our longtime residents. She came into our care in 2022 as a stray. She stays in one of our community cat rooms where she spends her days lounging. She would love to do the same thing in a home and maybe find a cozy spot to soak up the warmth of the sun. She has waited longer than most for someone to choose her.

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 2 to 3 weeks) with pre-adopted animals. Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently. Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
