My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  This pet is NOT part of the Castaway Critters program but is listed as a courtesy to the owner.  Please do not complete an on-line application listing this pet as your selection.

AJ
AJ is around four years old.
Two years ago he showed up as a stray at my farm.
I trapped him, got him to the vet to be neutered and he tested positive for FIV.
Having other cats, I decided not to release him, but gave him an outdoor enclosure. Since then he has become one of my favorite boys, but being a rescue, and in the process of relocating, I can’t give him all the attention he deserves!
He loves to be held, and he loves belly rubs. He would do well with other cats as long as they get along, a female would be best.
He’s a little leery of men, so I think he would do best with a female owner.
He is up-to-date on vaccines, micro chipped, and recently had a dental.
I am looking for a special person for him. He truly is a love!
If you are interested in adopting him, please contact Diane at 516-351-7594. He is located in East Berlin, PA.

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
