My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet beautiful, unique Heather, a Dilute, grey Tabby kitten with green eyes. We rescued her from a backyard in Arleta, CA, where she'd been hiding in a wood pile. We tried catching her by hand, but didn't want the logs to crush her. Instead, we were able to set the cutest, little rodent trap and get her within 48 hours.

Heather was scared and shy, at first, not having been held by us big, scary human types, but she has been raised with a litter of tame kittens and now acts just like one of them!

Her photos don't do her justice and I'm planning on taking more photos of her this week-end.

This cutie comes to the front of the cage with her tail up for scratches and pets. When you pick her up, she LOVES to cuddle in the bend of your arm, leaning her sweet face against your heart.

When this girl plays, it's with complete abandon! She enjoys romping, wrestling and chasing the other larger kitties around the room. We estimate her date of birth to be around May 16th of this year.

You'll find her complete rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #30 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including updates on all our cats and kittens). *Be sure to check out the Video tab to find footage of her in action!!

Heather's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination (if old enough),
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!

~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~

* Please only contact us if you'll be making Heather a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.

** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!

*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).

Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
