Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Galaxy was found in a kind woman's garage, alone and hungry. Galaxy was brought indoors and given food, water and a warm place to sleep. And even got a vet check before arriving to one of our Foster Homes. Galaxy is very shy at first, but loves to play with his foster friends, toys and sitting up high in the cat tree. He would prefer a quiet home, with a patient family, without younger kids or pups. While he does have some requirements, he is a sweet boy and deserves a wonderful home! We know his perfect person is out there - hoping it's with you!

We also have cats online on our website or adoptapet.org. Some cats may be in foster care, but we can arrange to have the available to meet

Submit Application

If you'd like to adopt a cat or kitten, great. We love finding them forever homes. Complete an online application on oue website

3.
Approve Application

Once your application is approved, we will ask you to sign the adoption agreement and pay a nominal aoption fee.

Texas CARES' cats and kittens ARE NOT FOR SALE.
Cats and kittens are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by the Texas CARES volunteer staff. Potential adopter(s) will be notified of the status of their application. This process can take 48-72 hours. Applications for adoption can be obtained from a Texas CARES volunteer or found on our website: http://www.texascares.org/adopt Adoption fees may be tax deductible donations.

More about this rescue

Texas CARES is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. Our all-volunteer group provides shelter and veterinary care for homeless and unwanted cats and kittens in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth and surrounding areas.

Our cats and kittens are rescued from local "kill" shelters and desperate public situations. All are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted.

Texas CARES was established in 1992 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. All of Texas CARES' funding comes from donations and fundraising events.

Our Goals:
