Texas CARES's adoption process
1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
We also have cats online on our website or adoptapet.org. Some cats may be in foster care, but we can arrange to have the available to meet
2.
Submit Application
If you'd like to adopt a cat or kitten, great. We love finding them forever homes. Complete an online application on oue website
3.
Approve Application
Once your application is approved, we will ask you to sign the adoption agreement and pay a nominal aoption fee.

Cats and kittens are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by the Texas CARES volunteer staff. Potential adopter(s) will be notified of the status of their application. This process can take 48-72 hours. Our cats and kittens are rescued from local "kill" shelters and desperate public situations. All are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted.
