My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mercedes: The One-and-Only Tortie Beauty

Are you searching for a feline companion who will steal your heart with her striking beauty and unwavering devotion? Look no further than Mercedes, the captivating tortoiseshell queen who is ready to reign over your heart and home.

Mercedes is not just your average cat – she's a true individual who knows what she wants. And what she wants is to be the center of your world. While she may not be fond of other feline companions, Mercedes is an absolute people person. She adores human company and craves the attention and affection that only you can provide.

With her mesmerizing tortoiseshell coat and soulful eyes, Mercedes is a vision of feline elegance. One of Mercedes' favorite pastimes is indulging in her wet food. She's a connoisseur of fine dining and savors every morsel with gusto. Watching her enjoy her meals is a delight in itself, as she takes pleasure in every bite and lets out contented purrs of satisfaction.

As much as Mercedes loves her people, she thrives best as the sole furry friend in the household. She prefers to be the star of the show and deserves to have all your love and attention focused solely on her. With Mercedes as your faithful companion, you'll never feel lonely again.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a stunning tortie beauty who will be your devoted companion for life, look no further than Mercedes. Come meet this enchanting feline and discover the joy of unconditional love and companionship. Adopt Mercedes today and let your world be filled with purrs, cuddles, and endless affection.

More about this rescue

Adopt a Cat Foundation, is a non-profit organization, committed to finding more loving and humane care options for the many homeless, injured and hungry cats and kittens that populate our county. Founded by 18-year recue veteran Inga Hanley, the foundation operates solely through donations,(which are tax deductible) and the assistance of small but dedicated volunteer force---which is always in need of more helping hands.
We provide the following services for the cats and kittens we rescue.

Humanely trap, spay/neuter and medicate as needed.

Provide temporary housing and care in one of two ways: in the shelter, or in one of our foster homes.

Evaluate their behavior and adoptability, adopt out the socialized ones to loving and hopefully permanent homes. Release the feral ones back to there committed colony caregiver who feeds them daily and monitors their welfare.

We also provide community service in other ways. Education on spay-neuter
programs to the public, schools and other non profit groups.

Education on care and handling of feline pets.

Participation in youth and school programs that offer credit for volunteer activities.

We do all this and more because we love them.
