My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ellie is a three-year-old, 65-pound, female mostly white pit bull terrier-mix with adorable tan markings looking for a loving guardian.

Ellie takes treats gently from your fingers. She knows the commands sit and paw; and although she’s strong, walks well on a leash and loves her walks.

She would be happy as the only dog in the home, but she seems okay with other dogs. Her true love is people of all ages, and she’d love a family to dote on her. She hasn’t been treated well in the past and is a little hand-shy.

Found stray in Chicago, Ellie is crate-trained and appears to be housebroken.

To meet and possibly adopt Ellie, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net for an adoption application.

Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. She is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm tested, and on monthly preventative.

She’s being fostered in Chicago.
