My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Buckwheat. My foster mother often calls me "Baby" because of my gentle nature. She loves to cradle me in her arms like a baby, and I enjoy giving her hugs and kisses.

I am a curious kitty who loves to explore and examine everything that surrounds me. I get happy when I see my kitty friends, and I also enjoy observing squirrels from the window. However, the sound of motorcycles makes me ecstatic, and my tail curls in kitty delight! Basking in the sunshine or finding a cozy cube for a nap are some of my favorite activities.

I have Pica, which means that my people keep a watchful eye on me so that I don't eat things that cats shouldn't eat. I take medication and eat prescription food. To ensure that I thrive, a quiet environment without non-food items is necessary.

I would love for you to come and visit me so we can get to know each other!

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
