My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruiser is a sweet and laid back 12 yr old Chihuahua mix. The year of 2023 has been a sad one for him. His owner was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and unfortunately accidentally caught her house on fire. She was able to make it out safely, along with Bruiser, but sadly her other dog passed away in the fire. Bruiser and his owner moved to an assisted living facility but she was struggling to care for Bruiser and the family reached out for Transitions Pet Care for help. Bruiser is currently in a foster home and doing well coexisting with 2 cats. His foster parents describe him as very calm and laid back. They’re working with him on walking on a leash, but in the meantime, Bruiser uses pee pads. He’s currently up to date on vaccines and we’ll be taking him to the vet for a complete exam.
