Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Red Skelton is a 1 1/2 year old beagle weighing about 35 lbs. And, as you can see by his pictures. he adores toys! He will gather 2-4 of them up in his mouth at one time and carry them around if he can. Toys are his "woobies"! It's so cute! Red Skelton goes out in the play yards with a mixture of male & female dogs and does fine but he is a slightly dominant male so he likes to play with the girls the most. When his mouth doesn't have a toy in it, he seems to always have a smile on his face. He does get so much enjoyment out of playing chase & wrestling with the other dogs that we would prefer that he go to a home with a playful female. Red is very friendly and outgoing with people as well. He was found as a stray and ended up at a high kill shelter; he was on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding and we were asked to help. He is just a wonderful boy!
Red Skelton's adoption fee is $200; he is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations as well as heartworm preventative. Applications can be completed at waldosmuttleycrew.org . (Indianapolis area)

Our adoption fees generally range from $100-$250. We require completion of an application after which we proceed with a verbal interview, make personal and veterinary reference checks, then conduct a home visit to verify that the home is pet-friendly and safe. Upon approval of an application, we require the signing of an adoption agreement contract which specifies that appropriate care will be taken of the animal in question as well as requiring return of the pet to the organization if the adopters are unable to keep it at some point in the future.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application. You can find that application on our website -- www.waldosmuttleycrew.org -- click on "Applications", then "Adoption Application". This is no way obligates you to adopt, but it helps to determine if a particular rescue would be a good fit for your family.

More about this rescue
We are a group of people who, first and foremost, love animals and want to assist dogs & cats in need. We attempt to educate people concerning appropriate pet care as well as the importance of spay/neuter in order to address the severe over-population of these animals in the U.S.
Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative.
E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application.
All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application.
