My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spicy is a hand-tame sun conure. She (sex not confirmed) really lives up to her name. Spicy enjoys the company of people, but tends towards being a one-person bird. She likes to explore and climb onto shoulders and heads, stepping up easily for her person but defending her cage from others. Spicy is fully flighted, and would do well in a home that keeps her that way. She needs a firm routine of time in her cage to play by herself balanced with time out of the cage. Spicy has always been around other birds, and would probably do best with a friend in her new home, but she has shown some possessive behaviors towards other birds and should have her own cage. Sun conures are very loud and would not be suitable for a living situation with shared walls. If you are ready to welcome this spicy bird into your life, then apply to adopt today! We will review your application, and perform a background check, vet check and when applicable, a landlord check.

For most species, a meeting is required. For some species, multiple meetings may be needed or required.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once approved, sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Whether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)
We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders. We are not able to adopt birds into homes that use Teflon product or smoke due to toxicity dangers.
