Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cedar. This sweet boy was picked up by animal control and no one ever came to claim him. Cedar is very loving and low keyed. He was obviously someone's pet at some point. He gets along with other dogs, loves cuddles and walks well on a leash. We do not know what he thinks of cats. He is stealing the hearts of his foster family so better hurry and get your application in for him (LOL). Cedar is about 3 years old and 35 pounds.

From his foster family: Cedar is such a good boy. Completely potty trained, super playful and lovable. He loves our girls and our pups too!! He sleeps through the night and just goes in his crate on his own- I just left it there open as an option and he went in at 8pm on his own and stayed in all night without a peep... he is so super sweet, pulling on my heart strings already!

Update: Cedar tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis (another tick-borne disease similar to Lyme's) . He is currently undergoing the prescribed treatment, which involves a course of antibiotics. Rest assured, he's responding well to the treatment, and his antibiotic medication will be provided for completion once he finds his new forever family. Cedar's road to recovery is well underway.

We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).

Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Cedar's adoption fee is $375. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
