My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rescued from an area shelter, Wyatt had come in as a stray. They suspected that he had been attacked because of the multiple injuries and lacerations on him. He also had hundreds of foxtails embedded in his fur that took days and finally a medicated bath to clear out. When we saw the photos sent out by the shelter, we knew that we had to help. Through it all, Wyatt has been sweet and very tolerant of all the handling he needed, even by strangers.

This handsome boy is 1 year and was in desperate need of some extra TLC and medical care. We are happy to report that he is healthy. He is meeting lots of new friends, human and dog, and seeks out affection and play. He loves toys, which he likes to carry, toss and de-stuff himself. He is comfortable on the soft couch and dog-bed but he also likes hanging out in the backyard. Wyatt is gaining the confidence, training and experience a youngster needs. He is housetrained, neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is not going to be the dog to go on long walks or hikes but he will enjoy playtime with other dogs. He can adjust his playstyle but he really likes playing with other rough and tumble dogs. If you are looking for a very sweet, affectionate boy who is looking to love and be loved, then Wyatt is your guy.

Go meet their pets

All of our dogs are staying in foster homes throughout our service area in the following counties: Los Angeles and San Diego. Once it is determined that the dog you are looking for is a match, arrangements are made to visit the dog either at the foster's home or at a mutually agreed place.

More about this rescue

The primary mission of our organization is to rescue and re-home Retrievers (Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Flat Coated Retrievers, Curly Coated Retrievers, Duck Tolling Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Retriever mixes) and find new, loving homes for them. We will take the very young to the very old, the very sick to the unwanted. Every dog is an individual and will be placed in homes that meet their needs and where their individuality can thrive. We are an all volunteer run organization Newly formed at end of year 2019. Our founders have 20 years rescue experience. We are a foster based organization and need foster homes so we can rescue more dog. Donations are greatly appreciated!
