My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alfie is a sweet little Chihuahua/Corgi mix. He was surrendered by his family because they were moving. He has been in the shelter, but he has found a foster home for now. He would make a great addition to any family. We think he needs to be an only pet though because he likes the attention and he doesn’t like to share. Lol He is not a barker, he does not like to be picked up but he loves to cuddle and he is a sweet, sweet boy. He loves his food. We can connect you with the foster that has him and they will tell you all about him. He is in a foster home with other senior dogs and special needs dogs and he is doing wonderful. He cuddles with the husband and wife goes outside to the potty in her fenced in yard When inquiring about him please complete our application so we can give you more info on him. Thank you. he also has became close with one of the other little dogs so you might want to adopt two his sidekick but not necessary like I said we will connect you with the foster and she will tell you all about them. Thank you.

Go meet their pets

Our available pets are on Adopt-a-Pet and our Facebook page: Stray Hearts Animal Rescue@strayheart.org
Visitors can also see the life-saving work we do in the heart of Eastern KY in Appalachia.

Since we are in a rural area, in order to reach more adopters, and save more lives, we offer transports to Lexington and other cities and areas in KY. Pets are s/n and vetted. If
the adoption does not work out, we will always take the pet back.
