Smokey is a gorgeous, fun-loving girl with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. Active, playful, and always ready for an adventure, she adores hikes, car rides, and romping with her dog friends—she even has regular playdates that leave her happily exhausted. Though she may be reactive on leash out of frustration, she becomes friendly and excited once they’re close, and she’s wonderfully gentle with children, especially her owner’s young niece. Smokey knows her basic commands, enjoys baths and brushing, and is an affectionate social butterfly who wants love from everyone she meets—inside the home she’ll happily climb into your lap for attention. She’s crate-trained, fully housetrained, easy at the vet, and overall a sweet, special girl who would thrive in an active home, ideally with a yard to run in and a family ready to match her enthusiasm for play, cuddles, and adventure.

Their adoption process

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

You can submit an application anytime and receive an auto response with instructions. It is first come first served for in person adoptions.

2.
Submit Application

Our application creates your profile in our system and tells us a little about you.

3.
Interview

Our interview is an open discussion about everything we know about the pet and how it matches to your family and expectations.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

You will use your mobile phone (or our computers) to sign the adoption contract.

5.
Pay Fee

You will use your phone (or our computers) to pay any adoption fees. Credit/Debit cards only we do not accept cash or check.

6.
Take the Pet Home

We are able to send most pets home the same day as their interview. If they still need to have spay/neuter surgery it will be scheduled ASAP

Before you Arrive:

Make sure your apartment is pet-friendly. Check with your landlord about pet policies.

To make the adoption process go a little quicker, here's a list of what to bring:

-An ID with current residence, or proof of residence if it is out of date.
- Any family members or roommates to meet the animals
