Petunia - Spayed Female. Approximate DOB is 4/25/2017. Petunia is current on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is Negative. Petunia is a SH Brown Tabby. She is a big, beautiful girl! She came to LAS in August. Petunia was originally adopted from LAS in July 2017. Sadly, life was not good to her in her home. Her home was a difficult environment and Petunia was surrendered back to LAS and we went and got her. She is healthy and happy and so very sweet and hoping for a forever home. She is doing excellent! Has come around so nicely and loves her attention. She would love a forever home - to call her own. Best with no small children. She would be ok with another calm cat in the family - as there were others in the home she was in. The adoptions are done at Love-A-Stray shelter in Avon, OH by appointment only and by completing our pre-adoption application prior to the appointment.
We also have permanent cages at the Great Northern Petsmart in North Olmsted where cats may be seen and adopted during open store hours.

Love A Stray is an all volunteer, no-kill, animal rescue organization for cats and dogs serving primarily Lorain and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio. Our mission is four-fold:
1. To decrease the pet overpopulation by employing aggressive low-cost spay/neuter programs which includes not only adoptable animals but also spay/neuter assistance programs for families who otherwise would not be able to sterilize their pet. We also alter feral cats through trap/neuter/release (TNR) programs.
2. To rescue homeless animals and, when necessary, provide medical treatment including emergency veterinary care.
3. To nurture rescue animals through innovative behavior rehabilitation, when applicable, and to place them from foster families into permanent homes.
4. To educate the public on the importance of being an advocate for animals emphasizing humane treatment and sterilization.
