My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Chloe & Samuel
Looking for a cozy home, a sunny nap spot, with humans who love them.
Chloe and Samuel are an unlikely but deeply bonded pair—a young, gentle observer and a wise, mellow senior who’ve found safety and love in each other’s company.

Chloe is soft-spoken and slow to trust, but once she’s warmed up, she’ll quietly seek out your lap, request some well-placed scritches, flop over, and when she’s had enough she’ll scamper off to birdwatch or chase a fly. She’s calm by nature, with sudden bursts of playfulness (zoomies and bug-hunting are her jam), and her little tongue blep is basically her trademark look. What makes her glow, though, is her relationship with Samuel. She checks in on him constantly, snuggles close, grooms him, and purrs while nestled at his side. Both Chloe and Samuel are FIV+ (a condition that just means their immune systems are a little compromised—it doesn't stop them from living full, happy lives). They’ve both proven to be resilient, loving, and deeply bonded—Samuel seeks Chloe out for comfort, and she cares for him like it’s her life’s mission.
They’re looking for a peaceful, loving home where they can stay together and keep doing what they do best: taking care of each other and slowly winning over every human they meet (preferably in a nice, sunny spot).
If you’re ready to welcome a pair of deeply connected, low-drama, high-love cats into your life, Chloe and Samuel are waiting patiently—and purring softly—for you.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
