My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zeuse, a charming 2-year-old pittie mix with a heart full of love to give. Despite a tough past that saw him endure unimaginable challenges, Zeuse's spirit remains unbroken. This resilient pup's friendly nature shines bright as he adores spending time with people and showering them with affectionate kisses. Zeuse's journey took a miraculous turn when he was saved from the euthanasia list, proving that his life is meant for greater things. He gets along well with other dogs, making him an excellent companion for playdates and social outings. While he may need a bit of leash training to perfect his walking etiquette, Zeuse's enthusiasm for walks is infectious and will surely motivate you to explore the world together. Despite surviving a painful ordeal, Zeuse's spirit remains untamed, and he holds no grudges. He would thrive in a loving home without cats and with patient owners who can provide him with the guidance and care he deserves. By adopting Zeuse, you're not only gaining a loyal and affectionate friend, but you're also giving him the second chance he's been eagerly waiting for. Open your heart and home to Zeuse, and watch him transform your life with his boundless joy and unwavering loyalty.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

With fosters and dogs located across various areas, we prioritize a streamlined adoption process. To ensure a smooth experience, we require an approved application before arranging meet-and-greets with our dogs. This way, we can make the most of everyone's time and often avoid unnecessary back-and-forth. Once your application is approved, we'll connect you with the foster to set up a meet!

More about this rescue

At Voice for Animals Rescue and Sanctuary (VARS), we're a 501(c)3 dedicated to giving harder-to-adopt dogs a second chance at life. We specialize in rescuing dogs who've been overlooked due to their coat color, disability, breed, or age. Our mission is simple: help dogs in need, no matter what. From tiny to giant, puppies to seniors - if they're being passed over, we'll step in.

While puppies aren't our usual focus, we do support moms and babies when needed. And for our senior friends, they hold a special place in our hearts. Once cherished family members, they're often abandoned simply for being "old." We vow to be their voice, their shelter, and their ticket to a loving home.

We'll keep working until every paw finds its forever home.
