My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

August (about 5 months old as of 10/15/2023) is a neutered male black shorthaired kitten. August's mom was trapped as a pregnant feral cat in Lake Villa and gave birth in foster care. August has grown up loved and cared for his entire life. He's a pretty mellow, happy little guy who gets along well with other kittens, cats, and dogs in his foster home, and is used to being handled by small kids when he comes out to adoption events every weekend so we think he'd be an easy fit for almost any home with a playful friend of some kind to keep him entertained.
