My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dante, the charismatic Great Dane/pointer mix with a captivating blend of rough-around-the-edges charm and a tender heart.

Dante's exterior may give off an air of confidence, but deep within lies a soft and gentle soul.

Just like the characteristics of his heritage, Dante is intelligent and alert, always ready to engage with the world around him.

He possesses a unique blend of confidence and independence, which adds to his intriguing personality. While he may be a bit standoffish at first due to his exceptional intelligence and focused nature, once Dante warms up to you, he becomes a tail-wagging, people-loving companion who will shower you with affection.

It is crucial for Dante to be socialized thoroughly, gradually introducing him to a wide variety of people and animals in a gentle and patient manner. By providing Dante with the love, patience, and guidance he needs, you have the opportunity to witness his transformation into a devoted and loyal companion.

Adopt Dante today and unlock the layers of his beautiful character, as he fills your life with joy, companionship, and a unique kind of elegance that only he can provide.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
