My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tristan, the spirited 11-month-old pup with a heart full of love. Adopted from the shelter in October, Tristan's journey took an unexpected turn when he found himself back at the shelter as a stray. Despite life's twists, Tristan remains a happy-go-lucky pup, eagerly taking in the world around him. Now, he's on the lookout for a forever family, dedicated to providing him with stability and training to help with his puppy tendencies. With his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering optimism, Tristan is ready to charm his way into the hearts of his new family.

Tristan is currently eligible for rescue, foster and adoption. Head to ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him!

Behavioral:

Per staff on 4/25/24: Tristan was very mouthy outside today when excited. He would mouth firmly, but was easy to redirect with toys or grab the leash.

Per volunteer on 4/21/24: Tristan was a really easy going pup. He was sweet boy, knows sit, takes treats gently. He sat in my lap and watched everything going on around him for a good 10 minutes or so. He leaned in for pets and to sneak a few kisses. He is a tad jumpy but is treat motivated so he will hopefully be easy to train with some structure. He did enjoy chasing toys/balls in the play yard and did get puppy zoomies. I had no issues getting him our or back into his kennel. I really enjoyed this little pup.

Per staff on 4/21/24: In the eval room Tristan was friendly and well mannered with us. He explored the room and would then wiggle over to us with mid level wags and soft eyes allowing all handling and solicit attention often. he climbed into the handlers lap and tried to give lots of face kisses while out. Very sweet and well mannered.
