Kirby likes to show you his serious face, but it is super easy to tease out his great smile! He's got his basic good manners in place, but his favorite thing is to shake hands. He is nicely people-focused, loyal to his person but also likes to greet new friends. His medium-to-low energy is a good fit for many home options, but any option needs to be free of other dogs. He insists on being the only one.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.
