My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Nana, and I’m a one-year-old 45-pound husky mix, eagerly waiting to light up your life! My journey to happiness has been quite an adventure, and I’m proud to say I’m a true survivor.

I was found wandering the streets of a Dallas neighborhood, and it appeared that I had been hit by a car, leaving my pelvis injured. But, thanks to a kind-hearted Good Samaritan and the incredible team at Duck Team 6, I’m now fully healed, vetted, and ready to find my forever home!

I’m a social butterfly, and I adore making new friends, whether they are humans (both adults and kids) or fellow dogs. My foster mom says I’m a delight to be around, and I’ve been working hard on perfecting my leash manners during our long, enjoyable walks with my two best furry friends.

When I’m not out exploring the neighborhood or working on my leash skills, you’ll find me at home lounging on my favorite chair, chasing squirrels in the backyard, or having a playful wrestling match with my foster fur siblings. I’m a perfect mix of adventurous and chill, and I’m looking for a family who will appreciate my zest for life and love for relaxation.

I’m already crate-trained trained, potty-trained, and I’ve mastered the use of a dog door at my foster home, making me quite the smart cookie. My foster family has provided me with so much love and care, and now I’m ready to share all of my love and joy with you!

If you’re looking for a sweet, loving, and fun-filled furry companion, look no further. I’m Nana, and I can’t wait to meet you and start our forever adventure together. To make me a part of your family, please fill out an adoption application or reach out to the nice people at Duck Team 6 directly. I’m so excited to meet you and give you all the love and cuddles you deserve!

More about this rescue

Our niche is rescuing elusive dogs who have been living on the streets of Dallas, Tx. We spend days, weeks and sometimes months trying to catch a certain dog. The dogs then move into loving foster homes so they can be part of a family and learn more about home life. We have found that these dogs are extremely resilient and quickly adapt to life off the streets and make great additions to a family!

The dogs are vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered and heartworm tested (and treated if positive). We spend a lot of time and energy getting these dogs off the streets so are very diligent in who they go to. We want to make sure it's going to be the ideal fit for both the adopter and the dog. We help them find the loving home they deserved all along! Please visit our facebook page to follow more of our adventures: www.facebook.com/duckteam6
