Not a fan of small talk or chaotic energy? Perfect—Nugget isn’t either. He’s the introvert’s dream bestie: chill, respectful, and always down for a peaceful walk (he’s got leash manners that would make your grandma proud).

Nugget is a medium-energy dude who lives for the simple pleasures in life:
☀️ Sunbathing like he’s on a doggie vacation
🌱 Splooting and rolling in grass like it’s his personal spa
💦 Waging war with the sprinkler (and loving every minute)
🍖 Devouring snacks with Olympic-level enthusiasm

He’s crate trained, knows his boundaries, and appreciates structure. Social butterfly? Not so much. More like a slow-burning candle of loyalty and love. Nugget takes his time getting to know you, but once you’re “his person,” it’s game over—you’ve got a full-blown cuddle bug on your hands. We’re talking lean-in-for-scratches, melty-eyed affection, and loyalty for life.

Dog-friendly? You bet. Just give him time to warm up with proper intros and you’ll see him do the polite tail wag of approval.

1.
Submit Application

Interview

You will be contacted via email for an interview if we need to clarify any questions on your application as well as a pre-approval process.

3.
Meet the Pet

We will set up a meet and greet with all humans in the home and the pet you’re interested in, then a meet and greet with any resident dogs.

4.
Home Check

Next we will conduct a virtual or in person home check and reference check.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

After that you will sign our adoption contract, pay our adoption fee, and take your new family member home!

We respond to applications within 7-10 days. Dogs do not go home upon first meet and greet.

We have various meeting opportunities in person at local events in Northern California and Southern California. Soem dogs may or may not present, but dogs will never be allowed to be adopted at these events or sent home with anyone other than their fosters. An application and official meet and greet will always be required. We are a 501c3 dog rescue that focuses on bully breeds. Most of our dogs have had either behavioral marks against them or medical issues. Our mission is to Reform the Dog Agenda through intentional rescue & educating the community.
