My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Capone has been to the vet and he is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on prevention. Capone was never socialized with the world around him or any other dogs but Dolly. He didn't show aggression when he met a stranger dog, just fear. He cannot live with small animals. Capone met Sprinkles yesterday!!! We have taken decompression very slowly with Capone because he had so much loss and change so quickly. Yesterday Capone got to meet one of the resident hound girls and they did perfect!
This amazing boy deserves a family of his own, even a foster home (he is in a temporary foster home)! Capone is a chill dog whose favorite thing is human lovin, peanut butter kongs & the hot pink Kong wooba! If interested in meeting this awesome boy please apply at chasintailrescuenc.com

Additional adoption info

Chasin Tails Adoption Process
1. Complete an Adoption Questionnaire at the link below.
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CTRN/Dog
If you are interested in applying for a specific animal on the website, please be sure to list their
names on your questionnaire. If you cannot select an animal please still submit your
questionnaire and write in the notes what type of animal you are looking for! Please note that
submitting an application is the first step in our process and does not guarantee adoption of a
particular dog or cat. Please email us at Chasintailrescuenc@gmail.com if you have any
questions!
2. You will be contacted via email by a Chasin Tails member, Adoption Coordinator or Screener
within 24-48 hours of submitting your questionnaire. They will then schedule an initial phone
screening to further discuss your needs, preferences and lifestyle as you look for a new family
member.
3. Your Chasin Tails representative will also conduct any required checks, including a vet check to
ensure your pets are up to date on medical needs, a landlord check if needed and you rent, and
will set up a home visit - during which a knowledgeable volunteer will schedule and meet with
all residents of your home to identify any risks or items to monitor when your new pet arrives
and ensure that everyone is ready to welcome them home!
4. Following steps 1-3, you will either be approved to adopt the dog or cat you are interested in or
Pre-Approved if you don’t see the particular type of animal you are interested in. You can view
the list of current animals online at Chasintailrescuenc.com . Or you can work with your
Adoption Coordinator to set up a meeting at a convenient time to meet and greet an animal we
have near you. If we don’t have the breed or size you are looking for, we can also work with our
shelter partners to find one.
