My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paws -In- Prison program GRADUATE!

Super happy go lucky and EXTREMELY well trained. I even do a few cute tricks.
My inmate trainers had so much fun training me because I LOVE to learn!

I did have time around cats, kittens, other dogs and little kids but it's been a long time now! I am good with other dogs but in the beginning, I may need a few meets. I can be a "little" picky! I absolutely love to zoom all over so I would really love a fenced in yard.

What I learned behind bars:
House Trained
Crate Trained
Sit
Lay
Stand
Heel
Loose Leash
Changing paces & directions WITH you
Recall to the front with an auto-sit
Recall with a Park It (circles around you then sits at your side)
Place
Watch Me
Speak
Leave It
Touch
Up
Down
Take It
Drop It
Wait
Back Up
Roll Over
Cross Paws
Kennel Up
Chin Rest
Take a Bow
Say Your Prayers
Greeting a Stranger
Two Up
ALL done with distance, duration, and distractions!

For this reason, with all her training her adopter will NEED to attend training, so YOU understand how to communicate with her! This is a requirement. A LOT of hard work was put into her training, and we absolutely want Charlee to keep learning and using what she already knows.

She is a very sweet, loving dog but doesn't require a lot of attention. She will cuddle but its normally short segments of time.

YOU will be extremely lucky if you are chosen to be her adopter!

Our adoption fee also includes 6-week group obedience class (value $125.)

More about this rescue

Developing highly adoptable dogs through our positive reinforcement rehabilitation training program.

This program is designed to save, rehabilitate, train, and rehome dogs that have been abandoned, abused, neglected, placed on death row, or misunderstood.

We give dogs a second chance to have a happy life!

Our Founder & President
" I was born to be a voice for the voiceless! This is deep rooted in my soul. From an incredibly young age, I have been their voice and continue to be heard"

Our founder and president, Judy Troyer, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She not only trains obedience but also focuses her advanced training on understanding aggression & rehabilitation protocols. She uses positive reinforcement techniques, for our rescues training and rehabilitation. With her knowledge and training style, many dogs have been given a second chance to live a healthy happy life.

Judy is a big advocate for clear communication, pain free and force free training techniques and is the voice for so many misunderstood dogs!

Our Team
We are animal loving volunteers who spend our lives dedicated to our rescues. We work very hard to help with the rescue's training and help them become highly adoptable & happy dogs! We believe every dog deserves a second chance to be understood and to learn how to live appropriately in the human world. We are consistent with our training techniques and have seen amazing transformations in dog behaviors. We go above and beyond for those that can't speak for the themselves.

Joining our team, you will learn many amazing training techniques, understand dog body language and be making a huge difference in the life of a rescue!
