Meet Namaste! This handsome boy has spent the last several years here at Animal Friends and is counting down the minutes until he finds his forever home. Namaste came in as a part of a Humane Investigations Case, and was in very rough shape when he arrived. We know his life was very hard before he arrived to us, and want to make sure the rest of his days are spent with lots of love and enrichment. He loves being outside on walks and enjoys enrichment like sniffle mats and ripping up egg cartons full of treats. Our behavior team has done a lot of positive reinforcement training in with him here in the shelter and he will benefit from continued training in his new home.
Some of Namaste's best qualities are:
*He walks very well on leash, and often checks in with his handlers for snacks and treats!
*He knows several tricks, including a few silly ones, which he is happy to perform.
*He loves to snuggle in our real life room and read books with his favorite humans.
*He is incredibly smart, and a fast learner, and would love to do training with his new humans at home.
*He loves enrichment, and is very good at mukbangs and ASMR - especially celery!
Namaste can go to an adult only home and wants to be the king of his castle and your only pet to soak up all your attention for himself!

This 45lb boy is also a part of our Foster-To-Adopt program, which means for 4 weeks our trainers here at Animal Friends will work with you and Namaste on his behavior and positive reinforcement training to facilitate a gentle transition into his new home. He is the perfect example of our mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals.
This dog is also a part of our Rosie's Rule program. Animal Friends has teamed up with Fi Smart Dog Collar to provide GPS-enabled dog collars for Animal Friends’ canine residents who are at an increased risk of becoming separated from their handler and not being safely reunited. These dogs may startle easily, have had a lack of human socialization or attempt to flee or hide in unfamiliar settings. Once outfitted with a Fi collar, Rosie’s Rule dogs will keep their collar through adoption along with a one-year subscription to the Fi App – at no cost to their new family.
Namaste is one of our Extra Loved residents. Although all our resident animals get plenty of love, many of them come from backgrounds where they may need a little extra care, extra attention, and extra patience. To help this special resident find their adoptive home, a generous donor has sponsored their adoption donation, to help them feel extra loved!

All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.
