Meet Voter! Voter came to us in the fall of 2022 as a stray, but she isn't looking to live that lifestyle anymore. This spunky lady has a big personality, and an even bigger love for the outdoors! Voter loves walks along our trails and rolling around in the grass, and can often be seen lounging, sun, rain or snow out on our walking trails with her favorite humans. Voter's love language is respecting her boundaries and taking your time when getting to know her; she needs some time and patience (and lots of treats!) but trust us when we say she is the friendliest lady once you earn her trust!
She loves ear scratches and belly rubs from people she trusts and has an established bond with. Voter is incredibly smart and ready to continue her positive reinforcement training in her new home. She would prefer that all her family members are at least 13 years old and she doesn't get along with cats or dogs so she's looking to live that single life!
We never want Voter to live the stray life again, so she is also a part of our Rosie's Rule program. Animal Friends has teamed up with Fi Smart Dog Collar to provide GPS-enabled dog collars for Animal Friends’ canine residents who may be at an increased risk of becoming separated from their handler. Once outfitted with a Fi collar, Rosie’s Rule dogs will keep their collar through adoption along with a one-year subscription to the Fi App.
Voter is also one of our Extra Loved residents. Although all our resident animals get plenty of love, many of them come from backgrounds where they may need a little extra care, extra attention, and extra patience. To help this special resident find their adoptive home, a generous donor has sponsored their adoption donation, to help them feel extra loved!

All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.
