My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tally does get along with some dogs, she cannot be consistently trusted around more dominant dogs. Tally knows how to use a dog door and is house trained. She does walk well on a leash when you keep it focused, kind of like a job. If not, she will try and stop and smell everything. Will counter surf if she's not being watched. She does like training and she knows sit, stay, down, touch and shake. When taking food from people. she is very gentle, then runs outside in case you change your mind. She rides in the car like a dream, sits in the back and puts her snout out the window for scenting. Overall, being a bit of a drama queen, she needs a firm, consistent human hand to let her know she's not the boss. She likes to chew but for the most part focuses on her dog toys and her blanket. Tally is crate trained and has begun trying to talk to us when we get home. We have no problem leaving her free in the home alone for many hours at a time. We try to play ball with her and she will bring it back 3 or 4 times, then she wants you to chase her. I recommend a home where she is the only dog or a submissive dog and will get a lot of attention and will keep up with ongoing training needs. If the home has smaller children, they are dog savvy not getting her overly excited around them. In the right environment she is absolutely a wonderful dog.
