My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nala

Nala is a very sweet girl who can be shy at first. Nala loves to go on walks and anyone that will give her all the attention in the world. Nala likes to have a certain type of food unlike any of her fur friends that she has made. She is very excited to try to find her home with a loving family that will have tons of time to play and give her the attention she wants. knows sit, stay, speak and paw.she likes submissive dogs or puppies the most.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
