My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remi was rescued several months ago from a rural shelter in Northern Mississippi. She was very sick and emaciated. The vet estimated her to be 10 months old when we accepted her into our rescue.
Remi has been treated for stomach issues (recurring vomiting) and after many tests (including X-Rays, Ultrasound, Blood Tests) she has been diagnosed with chronic gastritis. Her symptoms are treated with medication (Reglan and Zofran, both in generic form).
Remi is limited eating most dog treats, but one thing she absolutely loves is peeled cucumbers.
We do believe Remi was abused previously, she can be a little shy when meeting people at first, but once she gets to know you, she is a love bug. Remi wants to spend time with you. She loves to snuggle on the couch or sleep in a bed with you if she can. Remi likes other dogs, and she enjoys being with her foster doggy siblings that are smaller dogs like her.
Remi has not been around children yet, but she has been friendly to all people she has met at the vet and groomer's, etc. She has seen a few cats, but she has not been tested with them off leash. She was curious, but friendly.

Remi is crate and housetrained and she will let you know when she needs to go outside to potty.
Remi is a typical Beagle. She LOVES outside and she uses her nose to search for whatever wonderful scents she discovers. If you need her to have a quick potty break and come back inside, then she does better going outside on leash. She loves exploring and it typically distracts her.
Her potential adopters do need to have a wooden privacy fence, Beagle's love to run, roam and crawl under things, so a fenced yard is for safety.
If you love the Beagle breed and you want a loyal, loving and active sidekick, Remi is your girl. She is precious!
