My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benedict is a keen hiker and nature lover. He walks very nicely on leash and has a nice pace. He was very overweight when he came to us and has lost over ten pounds!! Whilst at the shelter, he was very patient and calm in his kennel, and somewhat fearful of new people, especially those wearing glasses or obnoxious jewelry. He makes dog friends very easily and is a great playmate.
In his foster home Benny shares the house with several dogs, including two tiny, fluffy terrier mixes, a 50lbs shepherd mix, an 80lb poodle to start. He is being socialized regularly by his foster parents and gets taken to public spaces weekly and gets taken on daily walks.
Benny is looking for a calm home life where the day will be predictable, and the visitors will be the kind of people to respect his space. Once you have his trust, he is a loyal and loving companion. He enjoys being groomed and takes great satisfaction in rolling in the dry grass afterwards!
