My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dax, our shy, sensitive gentle giant. He’s a handsome shepherd mix who has slowly won all of us over with his sweet, easygoing personality. Dax walks beautifully on leash and sticks right by your side, and he seems like the type who will catch on to housetraining pretty quickly once he’s in a home.

Dax is a soft-hearted guy who really loves his people. Once he trusts you, he’ll sit close and look up at you like you’re his whole world. He does well with other dogs, especially calmer ones who won’t overwhelm him, and he’s been a respectful play buddy here at the shelter.

Because he’s on the sensitive side, Dax would do best in a quieter home with adults and older kids who understand his gentle nature. He’s not the kind of dog who wants chaos—just steady love, routine, and someone who enjoys peaceful walks and hanging out together.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just wants to feel safe and loved, come meet Dax. He’s a really special boy.
